Band, Choir Members Advance to All-State

On  Jan.  9, a group of aspiring young musicians from competed for a spot in the prestigious All-State Choir and All-State Band.

Junior Beau Moore, freshman Jack Henry, senior Marissa Garza, sophomore Anna Doh and senior Jonathan Kujawa represented the band at the area level auditions.  Doh, a clarinet player, earned the honor of being selected for the All-State Band.

In the choir competition, three students earned All-State honors, with juniors Jessie Pagan and Anthony Ortega receiving a spot in the All-State Men’s Choir, while senior Trey Vasquez made the All-State Mixed Choir.

These four vocalists will perform at the Texas Music Educator’s Association/National Convention in February.
