The varsity men’s basketball team made the playoffs for the first time with an astonishing victory over the Westwood Warriors on Tuesday with a final score of 59-45. On Feb. 23 they will be traveling to College Station where they will be in a double bracket tournament, intially facing off against Cy-Fair High School at A&M Consolidated High School. They ended the regular season with a strong finish, winning four district games in a row to finish off second in district. Their overall record was 19-14 and 9-5 in district.
“I feel successful getting to playoffs,” junior point guard Marquel Iwabuchi said. “I’m excited and nervous.”
