This Saturday the bowling team will set out to gain another win in their run for the district championship.

The bowling team as of now sits in third place in the run for the district title, only being outmatched by Stony Point and Round Rock. However, earlier in the season, they were able to snatch a victory from top-ranked Stony Point, who hasn’t lost a bowling match in three years.

As the season grows near to individual state, there are two bowlers, Matt Hutson and Seth Gosen who are expected by their team and coaches to go to state and possibly place.

“We are a legitimate sport and deserve the same respect as all other sports,” junior Jason Arnold said. “We work hard and go out and try our best to win like everyone else. When you play a sport you must always strive for excellence so you come out on top. We’re not just a bunch of random kids that play on some club sport team. We are a team, and we all share the same goal of being great and winning.”
