Twenty- three out of 25 DECA competitors advanced to state after the district competition on Jan. 22 in Smithville. Students competed in business services, promotion plans, fashion merchandising and advertising campaign. The 23 competitors will compete in Fort Worth Feb. 24-26.
“District is a fun and exciting time to interact with other schools in our district and to prepare ourselves for state competition and to become a better presenter,” senior Nicole Shipes said.
