The Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) designated the rear part of the C-lot as its new training site.
“We need the space because it’s a field to us just like the football players need their field,” Warrant Chief RI Turner said. “We need our drill pad to practice.”
Beginning the first week of October, the lot will be painted into 50×50 and 100×100 squares to give cadets an opportunity to practice drills for their state-wide meets.
“I love it,” senior executive officer Adam Waldo said. “It gives us more room and more time to practice for the drill team.”
