The Speech and Debate team is gearing up for next semester’s UIL and Texas Forensic Association competition season.

“Our new district is very competitive — academically — with Cedar Park, Dripping Springs and Lake Travis. They’re all very active in speech and debate,” team sponsor William Fox said.

Despite the previous year’s four competitions without a single win, Fox is confident that this year’s lineup is capable of meeting the challenge.

“It all depends on how much effort we’re willing to give in the process. The juniors and seniors have a lot to offer, and the underclassmen have some very positive role models to learn from,” Fox said.
