The Show Choir will bring Broadway flair to campus tonight at 7 p.m.
The students, accompanied by Cyrus Albertson on the piano, are going to perform Broadway shows from past and present in the Auditorium.
“In addition to the group numbers, each member of Ovation has prepared a solo or duet from a Broadway Show, and they are just wonderful,” choir teacher Stephen Vano said.
For approximately two hours, the students will be putting a great show on stage.
“I am looking forward to our Broadway Show. The students have been working especially hard, but it doesn’t feel like work… it’s a lot of fun. All the group numbers are very entertaining and will be exciting to see and hear,” Vano said.
Senior Anthony Ortega said he is excited for the concert because of the directors’ musical selections.
“We’ve been working our very best to make it beautiful, so far we’ve come a long way and it isn’t even half way done and it’s already sounding great,” Ortega said.
Everyone who can’t get enough of choir can attend the Pre-UIL Concert on April 5 at 7 p.m. in the Auditorium. The Spring Pop Concert will be on May 20 at 7 p.m.
Students interested in becoming a member of next year’s choirs can go to the auditions on May 4 through 6.
“I hope that everyone can come and see the show next Thursday…they are in for a treat!,” Vano said.
