This April NHS applications were released for select students who earned all A’s, and a few will be selected to join the organization next year. Applications are due May 13.
“You have to have good grades, and have a certain amount of volunteer hours,” freshman Jacie Day said.
The 26-page application requires students to describe their leadership roles, grades, behavior and service hours.
“The application is very descriptive, you had to go around and ask people to sign stuff as proof,” Day said.

NHS helps the community through service projects and acting as role models for the community.
“I am excited about being someone that other people can look up to,” freshman Marissa Odlum said.
