On Feb. 21 to Feb. 23 the varsity wrestling team placed sixth as a team at the state tournament out of more than 80 schools. The tournament at the Delco Center consisted of the top four wrestlers from every region. Individually, Nathan Harrison placed second, Dillon Carter placed third, Kade Gierut placed fourth, and Tyler Conner placed sixth.

“The tournament went well, it was exciting. The top third and fourth teams were within 10 points of each other,” Head Coach David Burdick said. “It was a very tough competition. When you get to a state tournament every match is against a good wrestler.”

Burdick said he is really proud of his students.
