Every Wednesday during Ranger Time, students gathers in Lorraine Kyle’s room to sew.
“It allows me to strengthen my skills and my hand-eye coordination as well. I like it because I feel like I’m being productive during Ranger Time,” freshman Tashfia Nazmee said.
There are also a lot of students who have returned from last year.
“This is my second year in this Ranger Time and I plan on being in it again next year because I like it a lot. I get to sew and hang out with my friends at the same time,” junior Rebecca Aronson said.
The class is currently finishing up their pillow cases which they will eventually donate to cancer patients.
“I’m looking forward to finishing my pillow case and giving it to a cancer patient. I think it’s nice to give back,” Nazmee said.
When the students get off track or our struggling with a certain task, they have Kyle to assist them.
“Ms. Kyle is a great sewing teacher, she gives us advice on what to do better. She also has experience and has great ideas on projects to donate to charity, which is really cool,” Aronson said.
The next task for students in this Ranger Time is to make a quilt.
