Q: Is high school different than you expected? Why or why not?
A: Yes, not as much as I thought it would be, high school is harder and teachers don’t help as much as they did in middle school.
Q: Are you involved in any sports? If so, which one and do you enjoy it?
A: I’m on the freshman football team, I play two positions which are receiver and corner; I’m excited to see where the season will take us this year.
Q: How are the students treating you at Vista? Do you like the surroundings?
A: I really didn’t ask for much help, I mostly just asked my friends which classes they had and if they were in the same area I would follow them or just look at the signs posted on the walls. The surroundings are completely different from middle school because Vista looks like a college.
Q: Is high school different than you expected? Why or why not?
A: Yes, because in middle school we didn’t have this much freedom to just walk around and be on our phones.
Q: How are students treating you at Vista? Do you like the surroundings?
A: The students are treating me well, and the surroundings are way better than middle school, more room to walk around to where as in middle school it was a small space for a lot of students to get bunched up.
Q: Is high school a lot different that what you expected?
A: Yes, I thought it would be a lot scarier. All my classes are in one spot so it’s easy to transition between classes. The school is not as spread out as I thought. It’s not that big of a school and the hallways are easy to navigate.
Q: Were you nervous on your first day?
A: At first I was extremely nervous, but when I finally got to school I felt fine. I wasn’t scared anymore. Everyone was nice and helpful on my first day.
Q: Is high school different that you expected?
A: High school is way different than I thought it would be. Everyone is taller than me and the school is big so there’s more freedom to do what we need to go and do during the day.
Q: Were you nervous on the first day?
A: I was nervous that I wouldn’t get to classes on time, but my sister is a senior and her friends helped me out a lot.
