Meet the “Squad!”
September 12, 2016
“Suicide Squad” is the latest Hollywood hit and the source for Marvel fans’ current gossip. This long-awaited movie has the ability to perk up anyone’s interest just from its colorful yet dark-themed trailer. It has grossed $678.9 million worldwide, and this weekend, it still ranks fourth at the box office. No doubt this movie is yet another successful American superhero film.
Directed by David Ayer and produced by Charles Roven and Richard Suckle, “Suicide Squad” is about a dangerous group of villains who each has had their own history filled with crimes. The cast consists of Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), The Joker (Jared Leto), El Diablo (Jay Hernandez), Katana (Karen Fukuhara), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney) and Slipknot (Adam Beach). These infamous characters play superheroes as they pursue the ancient, awakened witch, Enchantress. As she crumbles Midway city under her hands alongside her brother, the Squad battles its way to her by defeating numerous monsters created by her.
The plot builds the tension and intense action up to the point where they finally meet the Enchantress and the Final Showdown begins. This movie has amazing fighting scenes where each fan-favorite character can have their turn to shine.
The moral of the film is to not judge a person by the outside but to look for who they truly are on the inside.
I have wanted to watch this movie ever since the trailer came out. I loved every single scene; the CGI, humorous and heartfelt moments were all great. If I were to give a con, the movie had some scenes where it was a little too suggestive for little kids. It would make an awesome movie to watch with friends but I wouldn’t recommend watching it with younger siblings!
To wrap this up, “Suicide Squad” is a movie for an intense, action-loving audience. Be sure to catch it on theaters with your friends and families!
