The VRHS PALS program, one that is very well known throughout the school has decided to step up their game this year, and implemented some new ideas. One of these new ideas, and the most visible one to the rest of the school, is drawing on student’s cars for game days.
This is Coach Cassens second year being in charge of the PALs program. Last year she was just getting used to how the program works, but this year she has started off strong already making changes and improvements. She is already seeing improvements in the students and their attitudes, and is excited to see even more growth once the PALs start traveling.
“I think more people are involved for the right reasons, and not just to get out of class,” PALs teacher Cassens said. “They really want the better of the school so the kids are more involved and want to make a difference because we didn’t have that at all last year, and also make a difference with the PALee that they are going to have.”
