Mrs. Jacqueline Stremple is an Art 1, all levels of Photography, and AP 2D Design teacher here at The Ridge. Stremple loves to try out different art styles through her teaching and has had many different jobs not only at Vista but at precious schools she has worked for.
“I have taught many different types of art classes beyond what I teach now including yearbook, painting, digital art, and ceramics,” Stremple said, “My favorite by far though has to be Photography!”
Stremple has known for a while that she has wanted to teach, and has been doing so for many years. Starting at the elementary school level and slowly moving up through the world to now be located at The Ridge, she knows this is where she belongs and hopes to be a ranger for the long haul.
I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and that is where I started my teaching career,” Stremple said “I spent 4 years teaching in Virginia before moving to Texas. I have 13 years of teaching experience in all grades from Pre-K to 12. Most of my career has been spent in elementary school, however, I feel as if I have found my “place” at VRHS.”
Stremple is constantly inspired by the work that she sees from her students. She does not doubt that they will continue to aspire to greatness in their artwork and hopes that even those who do not continue down the art path will use the life skills and creativity that they have learned through her program.
“My students have such incredible skills and their creativity impresses me every day,” Stremple said. “I enjoy coming up with different ways to experiment with a camera and play around with new editing skills. My hopes are that students use the skills from my class to make a positive, artistic mark in the world!”
