The Self-Improvement Club was made to help people grow and get better every day. It is a place where people can support each other, set small goals, and work together to become the best version of themselves.
Padraig Partin, president of the Self-Improvement Club wanted to help people become better. He found out about self-improvement on the internet, and he wanted to find others who were as excited as he was. So, the club was made to bring people together who wanted to improve themselves.
“Let’s get people who want to grow and learn together, ” Partin said. “So we can all help each other.”
One of the best activities the club did was a big hike. This activity taught everyone how important it is to keep going, even when things are hard. The hike was challenging, but it brought the group closer together and showed the value of perseverance. The club also helps people stay on track by checking in with each other, making sure everyone feels good about their progress. These check-ins provide support and encouragement, creating a strong sense of community and accountability. Overall, the club fosters an environment, share their struggles, and celebrate their achievements together.
“We walked 26.9 miles, and it was very hard,” Partin said. “We started with a big group, but only me and one other member of the club finished.”
For people who are just starting out their journey, Partin has simple advice for new members. He says it’s better to start with one small goal, like eating healthy for one meal. This slow and steady approach helps the club stay open and welcoming to everyone. By focusing on manageable goals, new members can build confidence and gradually incorporate more healthy habits into their lives. The president stated that it’s okay to take things one step at a time and that every small achievement is a step in the right direction.
“I joined the self-improvement club because of the lack of motivation that I’ve had, like getting out of bed, doing my homework, and simple things in life,” senior Lucas Whitney said. “So by joining the club, I hope to just better myself and fix these small habits that I’ve had.
The club is open to everyone, no matter when they start. They want to make sure everyone is serious about improving personal life accomplishments, not just showing up for fun. Taking small steps every day can make a big difference. If they improve a little bit today, they’re on the right track for many accomplishments in the future.
“Something that inspires me to be part of the self-improvement club is trying to better myself as a human being,” senior Ian Fiore said. “Whether that be emotionally or physically, just to have a better understanding of both myself and others.”
The self-improvement club is all about making small changes every day to become better. By focusing on these incremental improvements, members can steadily build new habits in their lives. The club encourages everyone to take consistent, manageable steps, recognizing that even the smallest actions can lead to significant progress over time. This approach helps create a supportive and motivating environment where everyone can thrive and work towards their personal goals together.
“We’re not just trying to get better for one day,” Partin said. “We want to make habits that last a lifetime.”
